Qigong is an ancient Chinese healthcare system that combines physical postures, flowing movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. The word “Qigong” (pronounced “Chee Kung”) is made up of two Chinese characters: “Qi,” which refers to the life force or vital energy flowing through all things, and “Gong,” meaning accomplishment or skill achieved through consistent practice. Together, Qigong translates to “energy cultivation.”
Regular practice offers numerous benefits, including calming the mind and body, reducing chronic fatigue, improving energy flow, enhancing balance and flexibility, boosting the immune system, and promoting overall well-being.
Practicing Qigong in the evening is an ideal way to unwind, release stress, and prepare for a restful night’s sleep.
Qigong is suitable for everyone, with no prior experience necessary. Don’t wait until you think you’re flexible or fit enough—flexibility, strength, mobility, and overall health are the results of consistent practice, not prerequisites to begin!
